LITTLE GIRL HIT BY A STREET CAR
Four-Year-Old Florence Vann Fatally Injured Last Night on Maple Avenue
DIED LATER AT HOSPITAL
As Motorman William Hysong was driving a Franklin car up Maple avenue about 7 o'clock last evening, he noticed at the upper end of the thoroughfare four-year-old Florence Vann, who stood on the lower sidewalk, waiting, as is thought, for him to pass. The car was almost opposite the little one, when she darted out in front of it and was knocked down by the fender. Before the brakes became effective she had been dragged several yards and was so badly injured that she died at 10 o'clock last night at the Memorial Hospital.
The body was turned over to Wissinger & Brady, the Conemaugh undertakers, who prepared it for burial. This morning it was taken to the home of the child's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Vann, where funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Interment will be made in Pleasant View Cemetery, Benshoff's Hill.
