UCINDA MARSH:
OBITUARY [probably from The Johnstown "Tribune"] -- no date

Mrs. John Colbert.

Lucinda Marsh Colbert, wife of John Colbert, who died of pneumonia yesterday afternoon [15 Apr 1904-ed.] at the Colbert home, No. [unclear] street, Thirteenth Ward, was born sixty-nine years ago in Centerville, Indiana County, being a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Marsh. Her mother died in Morrellville in 1881 and her father in Coopersdale in 1886. Mrs. Colbert was a sister of Jacob Marsh, of Morrellville; William, of Sharon; Lavinus, of near Vinco; Noah, of the Thirteenth Ward; Mrs. Margaret Young, of Youngstown; Mrs. Catherine Young, of Alliance, and Mrs. Abbie Kettering, of Lorain.
Lucinda Marsh and John Colbert were married in the Franklin-street M.E. Church, this city, by the Rev. William F. Lauck in 1854, and they had since resided in this vicinity. Ten children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Colbert, eight of whom preceded their mother to the grave. The living are James, of North Dakota, intermarried with Kate Constable, daughter of David Constable, of the Fourteenth Ward, and Harry, of Llewellyn street, intermarried with Maggie McAfee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John McAfee, also of this city.
Mrs. Colbert was a member of the Methodist Church for fifty-two years. She became identified with the congregation at Cambria Furnace in 1852 and joined the Franklin-street congregation in 1893, during the pastorate of the Rev. W.F. Conner, D.D., having been transferred from the Cooper-avenue congregation. The funeral will take place Sunday afternoon, when the Rev. Dr. Thomas H. Woodring, her pastor, will conduct the obsequies, probably at the Methodist Church at 2 o'clock. Interment will be made in Sandyvale Cemetery.
