Before me, A. L. McClunky, Register for the Probate of Wills and granting Letters of Administration in and for said County, personally appeared R. Peddicord and Isaac Killen subscribing witnesses to the foregoing instrument of writing, purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of Peter Johnston, late of xxxxx Township, in the County of Indiana, deceased, who being sworn according to law, deposeth and saith that they were personally present, and saw and heard the Testator Peter Johnston sign seal publish and disclose the forgoing instrument of writing as and for his Last Will and Testament, and that they signed their names as witnesses to said instrument of writing, in the presence of the said Testator, and at his request, and in the presence of each other, and at the time of signing the same, he, the said Testator, was of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, to the best of their knowledge and belief.

I Peter Johnston do swear by Almighty God, the Searcher of all Hearts, that as Executor of the last will and testament of Peter Johnston decd I will well and truly administer the goods and chattels, rights and credits of said deceased, according to law, and also that I will diligently and faithfully regard and well and truly comply with the provisions of the law relative to collateral inheritances, and that as I shall answer to God at the Great Day.

In the name of God amen I Petter Johnston Being sick and weak in Boddy but of sound mind & memory understanding Praisd be to God for it considering the certainty of death and the uncerty of the time thareof and to the End I may be the better Prepaird to leave this world whenever it shall please God to call me Hence doe tharefore make and declare this my last will and Testament in manner following that is to say. first and principaly I commend my soul into the hands of God my Creator who gave it and my Boddy to be buried in a decent manner by my Exactor Here in after mentioned 1st and first of all it is my will that all my Honest debts shall be paid after my Decease by my Exactor and 2nd I will and bequeth to my loving wife while she lievs all my property Real and personal to be at Her Command 3rd It is my will that Elisabeth Carney is to Have Her Home with my wife as long as my wif lievs and 4th and it is further my will that my wife is to Despose of my Affects at Her Death as She thinks best to Her self and Lastly I apoint my son Peter Johnston to be my Exactor after my Decease
