Notes for Caroline FLETCHER:
The Bedford, PA "Gazette" issue of 13 July 1906, p. 1, col. 5

Mrs. Caroline Mills

Caroline, relict of Frederick Mills, died at her home in Robinsonville, Monroe township, on June 29, having reached the age of 83 years and three days. She was a daughter of John and Mary Fletcher and was the last member of that family. Her husband died 18 years ago. Ten children were born to them, three of whom are living:  Jacob, at home; George of Amaranth, Fulton county, and Emma, wife of Walter Shearer of Clearville. Funeral services were held at the home, conducted by Rev. J.M. Snyder, and interment was made in the Zion Lutheran graveyard.

She was loved and highly respected by all who knew her and was familiarly known as "Aunt Caroline." The Master called her home, after long and weary toil, to her last resting place. And may the love of God dwell in the hearts of the friends and loved ones that mourn her loss.

Mrs. Miller [Mills] has been a reader of The Gazette since childhood, the first word she was able to spell being "Gazette."
